We are looking for a:
Receptionist and Administrative Assistant (0.8 FTE / 30 hours per week)
Working days are Monday through Thursday. Location: Amsterdam.
What will you be doing?
You’ll make sure visitors feel welcome, keep the office pleasant and tidy, and handle phone calls efficiently.
- You will greet visitors and notify your colleagues of their arrival.
- You will assist the facilities team with small tasks.
- You will process incoming and outgoing mail and orders.
- You order office supplies and keep track of inventory.
- You'll help with catering orders and setting up lunch.
- You will ensure that the reception area, kitchen, and cafeteria remain tidy and clean.
- You answer the phone, transfer calls, and take messages.
What are you bringing?
You enjoy helping people and appreciate organization and order.
- You are customer-friendly, tactful, and flexible.
- You are proficient in Word and email programs.
- You work independently and solve practical problems on your own.
- You are a good listener and a team player.
- You express yourself clearly on the phone and at the front desk.
Who do you work with?
You will be working with:
- the facilities coordinator
- the catering staff
- volunteers who help with all kinds of tasks

- A one-year temporary contract with the possibility of extension.
- A starting salary, depending on your knowledge and experience, ranging from
- €2,746 – €3,100 for a full-time position. At Milieudefensie, that amounts to 37.5 hours.
