Cineville aims to help new audiences discover as many great films as possible in an accessible way. Our customer service team assists our members via email when they need help, and prints and mails the Cineville passes.
What does the job entail?
As a customer service representative, you ensure that members receive quick and friendly answers to their pressing questions, and that their Cineville pass arrives on their doorstep within a week. The work in customer service is personal and flexible. We like to work with our members to find solutions: we prefer to focus on people and situations rather than rules and regulations. We also believe it’s important to connect with our members in our own way—preferably creative and open, rather than rigid and strict.
In addition to our work for Cineville, we also respond to emails and print passes for other (movie) subscriptions.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who wants to be a long-term member of our customer service team. We expect you to work neatly, have a strong sense of responsibility, and be able to write clear and easy-to-read emails. It’s important to us that you’re a go-getter, can work in an organized manner, write flawless Dutch, and are comfortable with English. Additionally, you should be able to independently determine the best way to respond to emails to make Cineville members and our partners as happy as possible.
This position is for 16–20 hours per week, consisting of 16 fixed hours and 4 flexible hours. You will work one weekend shift from home and two weekday shifts from our office in the heart of Amsterdam. On weekdays, in addition to responding to emails, you will also be responsible for printing the Cineville passes.
At Cineville, we’re not big on hierarchy. That means everyone is free to share ideas and suggestions for improvement, and everyone takes responsibility. From the editorial team to management, and from customer service to marketing: everyone contributes their ideas. That’s how we learn from and with each other.
At Cineville, we believe that celebrating and promoting diversity in all its forms—including background, culture, gender, sexual orientation, religion, education, and more—is both important and a given. We believe that film is for everyone, and so is this job opening.
