Do you enjoy keeping track of exactly what everyone is doing? Would you like to help link all expenses to the right projects and budgets, thereby contributing to proper accountability for our spending? We are looking to expand our procurement administration team. We offer a flexible position in the heart of a dynamic organization, ranging from 24 to 32 hours per week, where you will contribute to quality education for every child.

What will you be doing?

As an accounts payable clerk, you will be part of the team responsible for handling the financial administration for both the PO-Raad and the VO-Raad. In this role, you will ensure that invoices are posted correctly, navigate between cost centers, projects, and the general ledger for expenses, and monitor payment terms. If an invoice cannot be posted immediately, you will investigate the matter. For your colleagues at both organizations, you are the first point of contact for everything related to incoming invoices. You maintain contact with various employees from both organizations and know what’s going on and who is working on what. You are able to maintain an overview and work accurately and efficiently under varying circumstances. You communicate clearly and accurately about invoice requirements to buyers and suppliers.

The work consists of:

  • Accurate processing of purchase invoices
  • Recording obligations
  • Responding to internal and external inquiries regarding procurement
  • Monitoring payment terms
  • Accounts Payable
  • Processing the daily mail
  • Maintaining contract records
  • Other administrative and operational tasks

Who are you?

You have a high school diploma and several years of experience in similar work. Experience with AFAS is a plus.

You have a customer-focused and proactive attitude, backed by strong communication skills. The work at the PO-Raad and VO-raad requires integrity and openness; you speak your mind and walk the talk. You are a team player, flexible, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where you can continue to develop yourself.

What do we offer?

  • 24–32 hours; working hours to be arranged between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM; a contract aligned with school hours is definitely possible
  • A professional yet friendly work environment
  • The PO-Raad follows the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities. Salary placement in pay grade 6 or 7, depending on your experience
  • Flexibility and opportunities for (partially) hybrid work
  • A good pension plan with the ABP
  • Attractive benefits, such as 232 vacation hours for full-time employees, a vacation allowance, and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%
  • It is possible to accrue additional compensatory leave
  • If your commute is more than 10 km, an NS Business Card is an option
  • A one-year contract with the possibility of a permanent position
  • Opportunities for professional development

This is us

The PO-Raad and the VO-Raad are the sector organizations for primary and secondary education. These associations represent the common interests of school organizations in primary education, secondary education, special primary education, and (secondary) special education. The councils are thus authoritative advocates for these interests. In addition, both councils drive innovative projects and knowledge sharing in education. Quality is our top priority. After all, it concerns the future of our children and, by extension, the future of the Netherlands. That is why we remain committed to providing a quality education for every child.

The PO-Raad embraces variety and diversity, both within the sector and among our own employees.
