Marketing and Communications Manager
The Nederlands Blazers Ensemble (NBE) is a group of top musicians who come together about eighty times a year to perform unique programs both in the Netherlands and abroad. The NBE thinks outside the box, is always on the lookout for intriguing collaborations with musicians from other cultures, and blends these elements into surprising performances that stimulate the senses and spark the imagination.
The NBE is distinguished not only by its unique style, high quality, and diverse repertoire, but also regularly demonstrates its social commitment through special projects, both in the Netherlands and internationally. In addition, the NBE takes its role as a cultural inspirer and talent mentor very seriously. At the NBE office, located in the heart of Amsterdam, a small team of eight people works hard to prepare and carry out all projects.
We are currently looking for a
Marketing and Communications Manager (0.8 FTE) (m/f/x)
As the Marketing and Communications Manager, I am responsible for policy development, coordination, and planning in the areas of marketing, publicity, and communications for the NBE. I carry out these duties in close collaboration with the Artistic and Executive Director and together with the Marketing and Communications Officer.
In addition, you are:
- Responsible for offline and online publicity and communications, generating free publicity, and maintaining contacts with the media;
- You will coordinate and manage communications with, and potentially in collaboration with, venues and other clients;
- You maintain contact with the press and media;
- You will oversee ticket sales, the policy regarding complimentary tickets, and communications with venues, and ensure optimal audience services and outreach for NBE concerts;
- You will represent the NBE in promotional discussions with other ensembles and venues;
- And all of this within the established financial parameters.
Profile:
- You have relevant experience and a network within the cultural sector.
- You are creative and enjoy thinking outside the box. You also actively keep up with developments in your field.
- You are proactive, self-reliant, able to handle stress, and flexible
- You have strong social and communication skills and can quickly adapt to working with different people.
- You are willing to work evenings and weekends if necessary.
