The Secretariat is part of the Operations Directorate and serves the Office of the Registrar, the Office of the Attorney General, and the Operations Directorate. Within the Secretariat, staff have been assigned specific portfolios, with the basic principle being that they can cover for one another in the event of absence.
The administrative assistant we are looking for will provide secretarial support to the clerk of the Supreme Court.
Job Description
The clerk's administrative assistant.
- Schedules and organizes appointments, meetings, and (special) gatherings, and handles the necessary preparations.
- Maintains internal and external contacts in support of the clerk’s agenda.
- Manages and maintains documentation, (confidential) files, and archives, and promptly and effectively provides the requested documents and information upon request.
- Answers external and internal inquiries in close consultation with the court clerk.
- Contributes to the professionalization of the secretariat.
- Depending on the registrar’s support needs and the management assistant’s work experience, the scope of these duties may be expanded by mutual agreement.
Knowledge, skills, and competencies
- HBO-level education and thinking skills, and preferably a completed secretarial program.
- At least seven years of work experience as a support staff member at the highest levels of an organization (for example, within the judiciary or the federal government).
- Excellent command of spoken and written Dutch and English.
- Aware of the role of the Supreme Court and the court clerk, and sensitive to the (social) context in which the Supreme Court operates.
- A proactive, structured, and flexible approach, with a focus on further professional development.
- Meticulous and results-oriented.
- Socially adept and team-oriented.
Salary
Salary placement depends on education and work experience and is based on pay scale 9 of the Central Government Collective Bargaining Agreement.
In addition to your salary, you will also receive an Individual Choice Budget (ICB). The ICB consists of money (the ICB budget amounts to 16.37% of your annual salary and replaces the vacation and year-end bonuses) and time (ICB hours). The IKB allows you to choose to have a portion of your IKB budget paid out at times of your choosing.
