Do you get a sense of fulfillment from keeping things well-organized, and do you enjoy working as part of a small, close-knit team? Are you looking for a unique role at a unique organization where communication is direct and professional standards are high? Then we’re looking for you!
At the TIB, you’ll be joining a unique and close-knit work environment. TIB staff are known for their legal and/or technical expertise and their ability to provide high-quality advice and substantive support to TIB members, even under time pressure. This is done within a close-knit team of advisors, each with their own area of expertise, who value a healthy sense of humor in the workplace.
Together with your fellow management support specialist, you will serve as their main point of contact. You will ensure that the committee’s members and staff can function at their best. You will manage the schedules and planning and handle the administrative processing of files. You will also maintain contact with various ministries and other external parties. There is close cooperation with the supervisory body, the CTIVD. You will therefore have frequent contact with the CTIVD’s management support staff. These tasks form the core of the position. In addition, you will provide support in day-to-day operations, such as hosting visitors and organizing and overseeing facility-related tasks in the work environment.
We are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and safe organization. Working in a diverse team allows us to recognize, appreciate, and build on both our similarities and differences. This makes us more effective and innovative, and makes our work and our team more enjoyable! What perspective and life experience will you bring to our organization?
The Committee for the Review of the Use of Special Powers (TIB) is an independent committee. It is responsible for reviewing the legality of authorizations granted by the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations or the Minister of Defense to use special powers. These powers may be exercised by the General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD) or the Military Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD). The TIB’s decision is binding.
The establishment of the TIB provides an independent safeguard against the exercise of special powers by the intelligence and security services that have the most significant impact on personal privacy.
The TIB secretariat consists of 10 people. We are a small and dynamic team, driven by a sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, humor, team spirit, and a commitment to our work, which motivates us to achieve the best possible results every single day.
