Then come work at Arkin—the Finance/Healthcare Administration and Audit department is looking for a management assistant!

What will you be doing?

Arkin’s Healthcare Administration and Control department aims to contribute to high-quality client care. Your primary role is to provide support to the four managers in the Finance & Control department. In this role, you will ensure efficient and optimal planning of work activities and actively bring structure to daily operations. You will manage schedules, set priorities, and handle both phone and email communications. In addition, you will provide support for various meetings and gatherings, including preparing meeting minutes and policy memos.

You will manage and track action items and decision lists, ensure accuracy, and monitor progress. You will also identify and document efficiency bottlenecks and propose practical improvements. You will work with a high degree of independence in a dynamic department that is constantly evolving, interacting with both internal and external contacts.

You will also process leave requests and enter them correctly into our system, OWS. You will ensure that personnel files are kept up to date. You will book meeting rooms, order lunches, and contribute ideas for events and celebrations. You will ensure that relevant documents from managers are distributed to the teams in a timely manner. In collaboration with the executive secretary to the Director of Finance, you will cover for her when she is absent. Together with her, you will also produce a quarterly newsletter for the department to strengthen connections—a project where you can really let your creativity shine!

  • This is a one-year contract with the option to renew;
  • The terms of employment and salary are in accordance with the CAO-GGZ collective bargaining agreement for job group 45 (€2,571.00 – €4,017.00);

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have completed a relevant Level 4 vocational program (MBO) as well as additional training as an executive assistant, supplemented by extensive experience in an independent secretarial role.
  • You have an affinity for IT and extensive experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Microsoft Teams), and you’re also able to quickly learn new systems.
  • Experience with OWS and/or YouForce is a plus.
  • You are independent, proactive, flexible, and detail-oriented; you are service-oriented, results-driven, and a team player, and you take the initiative. You have a positive outlook on life and a healthy sense of humor.

Each has its own specialty or specialties. This means people can turn to Arkin for all treatments in the field of mental health and addiction care. Arkin treats more than 35,000 clients, and we do so with over 4,400 colleagues at locations in Amsterdam and the surrounding area, Utrecht and the surrounding area, Haarlem, Amersfoort, and Hilversum.

The Healthcare Administration and Audit Department is part of the Finance Department, from which the various business processes are carried out as efficiently, effectively, and consistently as possible. The goal is to contribute as much as possible to high-quality client care.

Our headquarters are located on Klaprozenweg in Amsterdam North, at the NDSM. Arkin is easily accessible by public transportation, and parking is available by arrangement.
