

The Integratiewerk Foundation supports newcomers in Amersfoort with their integration. Integratiewerk offers a wide range of services: assistance with housing, social support, language classes, and guidance toward employment or volunteer work. Newcomers from Leusden, Nijkerk, and Woudenberg also take language classes and participate in other group programs at Integratiewerk. In collaboration with MBO-EVA in Amersfoort, a learning pathway focused on young people is also offered. Integratiewerk operates a Women and Children’s Center that provides activation programs for women who are far removed from the labor market.

In total, more than 35 staff members, 40 NT2 language instructors, 20 interns, and 250 volunteers ensure that Integratiewerk can be successful. Integratiewerk adheres to the Dutch Social Work Governance Code. In 2024–2025, the organization received a customer satisfaction rating of 8.6. Integratiewerk holds a Blik-op-Werk certification.

Integratiewerk is an independent foundation governed by public law with its own Board of Trustees.
The Supervisory Board consists of five members, including the chair. The chair and one member of the Supervisory Board are appointed by Integratiewerk, and three members are appointed by the municipality of Amersfoort upon the recommendation of Integratiewerk. Members of the Supervisory Board are appointed for a term of four years. Members may be reappointed once for the same term.
The Supervisory Board operates on the basis of collective and comprehensive responsibility. In carrying out its supervisory duties, the Supervisory Board adheres to the following principles: Trust, Informality, and Professionalism. Each member of the Board of Trustees possesses expertise in a relevant field. Examples include finance/economics, integration/diversity, politics/government, education, the housing market, law, and business administration. In addition, the guiding principle is that the members collectively represent a good cross-section of society (diversity in gender, age, and cultural background).
The Board of Trustees meets regularly in the presence of the executive director, at least four times a year. The Board of Trustees conducts an annual self-evaluation. The Board of Trustees has an employer committee and a finance committee.
Members of the Supervisory Board serve in an unpaid capacity. Travel expenses and other out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursed.

In light of the desired composition of the Supervisory Board, we particularly welcome applications from candidates with a bicultural background.
Interviews with selected candidates will take place in May. Once the selection process is complete, the recruitment and selection committee will submit a recommendation to the Supervisory Board, which will then, in accordance with the bylaws, submit the recommendation to the Municipal Executive of Amersfoort for appointment. The intended start date is as soon as possible thereafter.
