Junior Fundraising Project Manager (32–36 hours)

As a junior project manager at Nassau, you’ll be closely involved in various fundraising initiatives for our clients. You’ll take on some projects independently, while for others you’ll assist with planning and execution. The specific focus of these projects varies by client and assignment. Our expertise lies primarily in the areas of Great Fundraising, Middle Donors, Major Donors, and Bequests. In addition, we help organizations improve their fundraising through knowledge transfer (training) and finding the right colleagues (recruitment & selection). You will work closely with our senior consultants/project managers and assist them in executing projects. In addition to various internal and external projects, you will have the opportunity to delve into all the aforementioned facets of fundraising.

What kind of things will you be doing?

  • You will assist with or be responsible for managing multiple fundraising projects simultaneously. You will be the central point of contact, monitoring deadlines and coordinating with colleagues as needed;
  • You will prepare strategic sessions with clients, both in terms of content and logistics, and ensure that proper minutes are taken and feedback is provided;
  • Together with a senior consultant/project manager, you will be responsible for developing a relationship-based fundraising strategy for a client’s direct marketing program. This typically involves middle-donor programs, often as part of an integrated approach that includes major-donor fundraising;
  • You will translate the fundraising strategy into briefs for the creative team, the copywriter, and/or the studio, and oversee the development of the resulting concepts, materials, and mailers;
  • You will support major donor fundraising efforts by preparing strategic sessions or conducting market research. This may involve documenting conversations with major donors and analyzing these conversations together with the responsible senior consultant or project manager;
  • In the area of recruitment and selection, you will assist with external communications to prospective candidates, help with the selection of candidates, and schedule interview days;
  • You will immerse yourself in the field and actively contribute to the ongoing development of the team and Nassau.

What does Nassau have to offer?

  • A great place to work at one of the leading fundraising specialists, where there’s always something new to learn and experience;
  • A job with varied and diverse responsibilities, where you can really put your helpful nature to good use;
  • A dedicated, passionate, and friendly team: we work hard, but we also have a lot of fun;
  • A workplace where you find plenty of inspiration: from each other and from our clients and business partners;
  • A job where you’ll be welcome for the long term and where you can find fulfillment in working with charitable organizations;
  • A competitive salary.

What do you bring to the table?

  • The following qualities really resonate with you: attention to detail, precision, loyalty, and dedication;
  • You have strong language skills; you pay attention to the finer details;
  • You see work that needs to be done, take the initiative to tackle it, and find satisfaction in doing so;
  • You can adapt quickly (because no two days are the same) and you’re committed to quality;
  • You are interested in further developing your skills in donor-focused fundraising;
  • You have a service-oriented, enthusiastic personality;
  • You have 1–2 years of project management experience;
  • You have a college-level education and way of thinking.

Interested?
