More about this organization
A man wearing glasses and a sweater is smiling as he works at a desk in a modern office, with the logo "Work at NTR" superimposed over a green background.

Are you a natural organizer, do you love Caribbean music, and is the radio studio your favorite place to work? Then we’re looking for you!

The NTR Culture editorial team produces radio, TV, and online content about music, festivals, and culture—a culture characterized by diversity and a variety of influences. Since January 1, 2024, the Culture editorial team has also been producing programming for NPO Blend. NPO Blend is a new pilot station for listeners who enjoy a varied mix of R&B, Afro, new soul, hip-hop, and classics from the ’90s and 2000s.

At the end of February, NPO Blend will launch a radio show bursting with Caribbean sounds: Sun On Sunday, every Sunday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We are currently looking for a

Junior (Radio) Producer (M/F/X)
(14 hours per week, under a collective bargaining agreement or freelance)

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Studio production on Sunday afternoon for the Caribbean program Sun On Sunday;
  • Be responsible for both the script and the playlist for Sun On Sunday;
  • Load the audio, set up the playlist, and trim the clips;
  • Creating the right conditions for the presenters in the studio so they can get the most out of the program;
  • Providing production support to our Blend colleagues on the afternoon program "Bridge The Gap," including studio production on Fridays between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

This is you:

  • Excited about the principles of NPO Blend and the NTR;
  • A producer with a keen sense for radio who loves Caribbean music, Afro music, R&B, and hip-hop;
  • Experienced in writing radio scripts or eager to learn how to do so;
  • Creative and adaptable: during the broadcast, as the link between the host in the studio and the listener, you’ll be able to make quick decisions while also maintaining a calm atmosphere;
  • Someone who can communicate clearly and effectively;
  • A well-organized worker who thinks ahead, anticipates deadlines, and takes responsibility;
  • Flexible with your schedule (shows may need to be recorded on a different day or at a different time).

We offer:

An employment contract (or freelance agreement) through December 31, 2024, with the possibility of extension. Depending on knowledge and experience, this position is compensated within salary grade F (€2,711.87 – €3,988.60) of the broadcasting collective bargaining agreement.

We value ambition and are happy to support your professional growth. Do you want to advance in your career, try something different, or learn something new? NTR offers plenty of opportunities for this within the company, but thanks to our training budgets and your personal career budget (€1,000 every 5 years), we believe that professional development should extend beyond the workplace as well.

NTR offers a 6% December bonus, 8% vacation pay, a travel allowance, over 5 weeks of vacation per year, annual salary increases, a group pension plan, and a monthly contribution toward your health insurance.

You’ll also be joined by a small team of experienced and enthusiastic creators who are embarking on this new radio adventure with enthusiasm, dedication, and ambition.

Climate-conscious practices are a top priority at NTR. Together with colleagues from other public broadcasters, we participate in the ALBERT sustainability program, which helps us create the conditions needed to strive for a minimal carbon footprint in everything we produce.

Finally, NTR strives to foster an inclusive organizational culture that reflects the diversity of our society. An environment where everyone feels at home and connected contributes to job satisfaction and provides ample room for inspiration and creativity. We believe in the unique value of every individual, which is why our job openings are open to everyone.
