Who are we?

Friendly Fire is a young, dynamic, and growing company with a casual yet professional work environment. We are based in Amsterdam and are actively involved in organizing concerts and events, as well as booking and managing domestic and international artists. For these artists, we arrange performances at clubs and festivals, plan careers, and maintain contact with other stakeholders such as agents, record labels, (tour) managers, publishers, etc. We work with and for artists including Lana del Rey, Snoop Dogg, Yade Lauren, $hirak, Big2, The Opposites, Zoë Tauran, and many others. We also produce events such as Best Kept Secret, Tuckerville, Indian Summer Festival, and Live At Amsterdamse Bos; we are involved in hundreds of bookings for Dutch and international artists in the club and festival circuit; and we operate a theater company.

We are currently seeking a junior booker (m/f/x) for our organization who has an affinity for hip-hop, R&B, pop, indie, and electronic music from both the Netherlands and abroad. In this role, you will collaborate with a booking agent and work within an existing and growing roster.   • You will maintain contact with artists, managers, and programmers;
  • You are responsible for preparing and processing a booking;
  • You plan tours and coordinate announcements;
  • You keep an eye on the schedule and make sure everything is in order for the show date, in consultation with tour managers and venues or festivals;
  • You attend shows by the artists represented by Friendly Fire;

Who are you?

  • You have strong communication skills;
  • You are able to work and communicate in both Dutch and English;
  • You have an affinity for music and entertainment;
  • You are familiar with the current music industry and the artists represented by Friendly Fire;
  • You are driven and passionate about music—especially hip-hop, R&B, pop, and electronic music;
  • You are proactive, enjoy taking the initiative, and don’t wait to be asked to do something.

Friendly Fire strives to be a diverse organization, so it doesn’t matter to us where you were born, what you believe in, or who you love. We’re curious about your talent and your ideas.

We’re also very interested in hearing about other personal qualities and skills you can bring to our team. We encourage everyone to apply, even if you don’t fully meet all the job requirements.

What do we offer you?

  • A 40-hour workweek;
  • The salary ranges from €2,500 to €3,200 gross per month, depending on experience and age;
  • A six-month employment contract, with the possibility of a permanent position;
  • Working in a fun, diverse, and motivated team;
  • A nice office in Amsterdam-Noord and the option to work from home part-time, subject to agreement;
