As a (junior/mid-level) information/data analyst, you will play a crucial role in WWF Netherlands’ ongoing data transformation. You will do this by leveraging your data-driven mindset, analyses, insights, research, and problem-solving skills to address business challenges. You will provide insights, identify opportunities, unlock value for the business, and support day-to-day operations. Connecting opportunities and creating actionable solutions that lead to concrete results. 

The position

You are responsible for deriving insights from the customer contact channels where our clients interact with us. These include the following channels: web data, customer contact center, social media data, email data, and external data. The goal is to gain insight into our clients’ behavior and emotions throughout the customer journey, improve the customer experience, and develop more effective customer processes.

In addition, you and the three-person data team are responsible for collecting, preparing, transforming, and analyzing data. You monitor data quality and ensure that the data is consistent and reusable. You analyze interesting trends in the data and create visualizations and dashboards to help us interpret the data, with the goal of providing insights and supporting decision-making.

In addition, you will be (partly) responsible for dashboards and reports, and you will contribute to predictive and optimization models aimed at improving customer satisfaction, effectiveness, and efficiency.

You will contribute daily to the very best customer service and ongoing internal optimization. This includes:

  • Process Optimization
  • Cost savings
  • Quality improvements
  • Monitoring and optimizing KPIs

Duties and Responsibilities

  • You understand business needs better than anyone else, translate this into impactful analyses, and come up with concrete proposals for improvement;
  • Mapping buyer and customer journey data, and providing recommendations and advice based on this data;
  • You build predictive models;
  • You are responsible for data visualization;
  • You take the initiative in improving marketing campaigns;
  • You will analyze trends in visitor behavior and market developments and link external data sources with internal ones.


Who are you?

You are a:

  • A target audience strategist who understands what drives target audiences and how to visualize that using data.
  • A performance-driven data specialist with up-to-date knowledge who is eager to contribute to the WWF.
  • You have at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written proficiency in Dutch; proficiency in English is a plus.

Who are we?

The organization consists of the following departments: Conservation, Engagement, Organization & Talent Development, and Finance & Operations.

The Engagement department primarily uses Dutch. This department is responsible for engaging various target groups in the Netherlands in our mission. Engagement operates using an agile approach with 4 chapters and 7 squads; multidisciplinary, self-organizing teams with their own responsibilities. To strengthen the Digital & Data chapter within the Engagement department, we are seeking a (junior/mid-level) Data/Information Analyst.

The Information/Data Analyst reports directly to the Head of Digital & Data.

  • A competitive salary based on the Dutch nonprofit sector; the minimum gross monthly salary for the position is 3,154 EUR, and the maximum monthly salary is 4,667 EUR, depending on relevant experience (and based on a 40-hour workweek) (due to the maximum salary, we are unable to sponsor a residence permit for highly skilled migrants);
  • Employees also receive a personal budget, consisting of 8% vacation pay and 2.08% flexible budget, and are entitled to 6 weeks of leave per year (based on a 40-hour workweek);
  • We encourage flexible work arrangements and the use of public transportation and bicycles for commuting and business travel. Commuting expenses are reimbursed based on second-class public transportation fares (NS Business Card).
