Impact Investment Intern

40 hours per week | 4–6 months | Start date: February 2026

Are you curious about how impact startups operate? Would you like to learn how investment decisions are made and contribute to the transition to a regenerative economy? Then this internship is for you.

As an intern, you’ll be a full member of the DOEN Participations team, which consists of experienced investment professionals (meet the team here). You’ll have the opportunity to learn about impact investing, impact entrepreneurship, and systemic change, and you’ll make an immediate contribution.

What will you be doing?

As an impact investment intern at DOEN Participaties, you’ll be involved in a wide range of tasks. These include :

  • Identifying, selecting, and evaluating potential investments
  • Conducting market analyses within our focus areas
  • Support with investment proposals and impact reports
  • An Introduction to Transaction Documentation and Portfolio Management
  • Carrying out your own internship project, such as a startup challenge

Who are you?

  • You're currently pursuing your master's degree or have just graduated
  • You want to gain experience investing in impact startups and/or learn more about impact entrepreneurship
  • You're interested in sustainable and innovative startups
  • You have strong analytical skills, are curious, and are entrepreneurial
  • You speak and write Dutch well
  • You feel connected to the mission of DOEN Participations and the DOEN Foundation

The internship is for 40 hours per week, lasts 4 to 6 months, and will be based at the DOEN Participaties in Amsterdam.
