More about this organization
Two students are sitting at a table; a boy is smiling as he shows his sketchbook to a girl wearing a beret in a modern setting.

Would you like to help create an inspiring learning environment where students can grow into professional creators? Put your talents to work and join our team.

What is your role?

  • You are the head of the Student Affairs Department. There are 19 people working here. This department consists of six specialized teams (student information, academic progress tracking, admissions, exchange programs, registration, and administrative secretaries for examination boards);
  • As a manager, you are responsible for the department’s tactical decisions and ensure alignment between the various areas, policies, and the organization’s strategic direction. You are part of OSZ’s management team;
  • You will lead the department in a collaborative manner and encourage teamwork, both within the department and across departments, while focusing on shared goals and leveraging everyone’s expertise;
  • You serve as a sounding board for your department and contribute ideas on the design and quality of processes, both from the students’ perspective and in terms of organizational efficiency;
  • You actively seek to foster close coordination with the academies and other departments within HKU, and you also represent our organization externally by participating in national networks.

What do you bring to the table?

  • At least a college-level standard of work and thinking;
  • Several years of work experience in a managerial role;
  • Knowledge of education and educational logistics; familiarity with a student information system such as Osiris is a plus;
  • You are committed to fostering a positive work atmosphere and a safe and pleasant work environment;
  • You analyze issues quickly and thoroughly and, together with your colleagues, translate insights into practical solutions;
  • You take the initiative, spot opportunities, and turn ideas into concrete actions;
  • You communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of people;
  • You work in a goal- and results-oriented manner, with an understanding of the context of an art college.

What do we have to offer?

With us, you’ll work in an inspiring environment where creativity, technology, and innovation come together. You can be completely yourself here. The academic year has dynamic peak periods when we all pull together, but this is balanced by a generous number of vacation days. You will receive a salary in accordance with the HBO collective bargaining agreement in scale 11 (gross monthly salary for full-time employment ranging from €4,427 to €6,677) and attractive benefits, such as a year-end bonus, a museum year pass, and a bicycle plan.
