As a Functional Administrator, you are responsible for managing and optimizing our IT environment. You ensure that employees can collaborate efficiently and that our digital work environment functions properly. You serve as the link between IT and users, translating functional requirements into concrete solutions. You are supported in this by external IT vendors.
Work
You will be working at a casual organization, in the Operations Department. You will report to the Business Director. These are your main responsibilities:
- You will ensure the stability, reliability, and security of IT systems, including networks, servers, and applications. You will do this in collaboration with our external IT vendors;
- You manage and optimize Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Defender;
- You manage, configure, and optimize Microsoft 365 applications such as SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams;
- You will serve as the point of contact for our external IT vendors and evaluate them based on the expertise they provide;
- You will support and assist colleagues in using the IT systems and provide tips and training;
- You will work with internal stakeholders and external IT vendors to improve digital processes;
- You order and configure hardware, such as laptops and smartphones;
- You will implement and enforce the IT policy, paying close attention to key aspects such as security, compliance, privacy, and data management;
- You are our IT specialist and keep abreast of IT developments that can help us continuously improve our business operations within the available budgets.

You can do this
- You have excellent digital skills;
- You have proven knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Entra ID, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams. Knowledge of Power Automate is a plus;
- You have knowledge of IT infrastructures;
- You have experience with hardware management, such as laptops and smartphones;
- You have an excellent command of Dutch and a good command of English, both spoken and written;
- You can implement policy documents and provide advice;
- You are able to work well on your own;
- You can communicate at different levels.
This is you
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a cultural setting;
- You have at least a college-level education and thinking skills;
- You are organized and results-oriented;
- You have strong analytical skills and are proactive;
- You are patient.
What do we offer?
- We are offering you a one-year contract for 32–36 hours per week, with the possibility of a permanent position if both parties are satisfied;
- The salary falls under Scale 9 of the museum collective bargaining agreement: between €3,346 and €4,348 gross per month, based on a 36-hour (full-time) workweek
