Are you an experienced direct marketer looking to apply your skills in a new role that offers plenty of room for creativity and initiative?
The stunning museum houses managed by Hendrick de Keyser Monumenten welcome a large number of visitors each year. Their goal is to build lasting relationships with these visitors and others, which is why they are seeking a results-oriented FUNDRAISER FOR THE PRIVATE MARKET (24–28 hours).
Hendrick de Keyser Monuments is the leading national charity dedicated to the preservation and management of historically significant homes and their interiors. The collection, comprising 440 residential properties built between 1495 and 1980 and located throughout the Netherlands, is unique. The craftsmanship, architecture, and interiors are often of exceptional quality. Each building features distinctive details on the exterior and/or interior. Approximately 35 properties are open to the public as museum homes, vacation homes, or unique venues for events. Once acquired, properties remain in the organization’s possession forever. As a result, they play a vital role in heritage management spanning the past, present, and future.
Hendrick de Keyser Monumenten is supported by private individuals, endowment funds, government agencies, and businesses. You will join the Partners & Supporters team, which is responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with these supporters and increasing revenue from them. They are a small, enthusiastic team looking for an experienced third colleague to strengthen the team. In the coming years, they aim to significantly expand their membership and donor base, which is why they are seeking a private fundraiser to help us achieve this goal.
Hendrick de Keyser Monumenten attracts large numbers of visitors to its museum houses throughout the country. Converting these visitors is a key priority, and there is plenty of room for you to bring your own ideas to the table. A new CRM system was implemented in early 2023, but it’s up to you to design the customer journeys and set up campaigns. Using data, you’ll develop targeted propositions to recruit new members. There are many opportunities where you’ll have the freedom to choose which campaigns to focus on to achieve results. In this role, you will work closely with the marketer from the Communications team to develop a public campaign.
Experience with or a specific interest in cultural heritage is therefore not required. Nor is experience in the nonprofit sector necessary. However, a fresh and “business-minded” perspective, a can-do attitude, combined with experience in designing (marketing) journeys, conducting analyses, and working with CRM systems are definitely required.
