We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic
Fundraiser for major donors and the corporate sector
temporary, due to maternity leave followed by parental leave
(Amersfoort, 28–32 hours)
with a passion for building and maintaining (business) relationships. The position
As a major donor and corporate market fundraiser, you will represent Edukans in connecting with the right companies, foundations, and endowment funds, and in building professional and strategic partnerships. In addition, you have extensive experience coordinating and co-authoring compelling project proposals and pitches, which is a key part of your role.
Your main responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the ongoing development of a fundraising policy that aligns with relevant social trends and developments:
- You will work closely with the team to ensure the progress of our fundraising efforts.
- You work collaboratively with the team to find solutions that help achieve our goals and results.
- You will develop ideas and create recruitment plans for outreach activities targeting the business market.
- You will initiate and coordinate creative and innovative fundraising activities for both existing and new major corporate donors. In doing so, you will monitor objectives, schedules, and budgets.
- You will monitor the progress of the recruitment plan and fundraising activities, report on the status and results to your manager and other stakeholders, make recommendations for any necessary adjustments, and take action as needed.
2. Event management and relationship management:
- You are responsible for identifying opportunities and managing accounts and relationships in the corporate market and with major donors.
- You organize meetings with partners.
- You will keep business partners and clients informed about new projects and/or changes,promote the organization, and handle inquiries and/or complaints appropriately.
- You will represent the organization at the strategic level at various internal and externalevents, such as conferences, television appearances, and so on.
3. Coordinating and contributing to the development of compelling project proposals:
- You will evaluate requests from third parties for jointfundraising activities. You will explore opportunities for collaboration,develop a proposalwithyour team, and, once approved, prepare a report for the donor.
- You will be responsible for managing the commercial database related to largeorganizations within the corporate donor market.
- You serve as a link between Edukans Netherlands and our offices in our focus countriesand collaborate effectively within (project) teams.
Your profile

- You have a college-level education in a business-related field.
- You have extensive experience in fundraising and relationship management.
- You are a connector and networker with a talent for building and maintaining(external) business relationships at various levels.
- You have extensive experience coordinating and contributing to compelling proposalsand project proposals.
- Takes the initiative, thinks in terms of possibilities, and sets high standards.
- You are entrepreneurial, innovative, and culturally sensitive.
- You have an excellent command of Dutch and English.
