As a Theater Technician at the Concertgebouw, you’ll work at one of the world’s most beautiful concert halls, a place where every day brings something new. With your expertise in lighting, sound, and video, you’ll join your colleagues in the Operations Department in helping to create the sublime experience that the Concertgebouw offers its guests.
The Concertgebouw is one of the most visited concert halls in the world, hosting more than 700 concerts and welcoming over 730,000 visitors each year. The acoustics of our halls are world-renowned; nowhere else does classical music sound more beautiful. But we offer much more than just classical music: you can also hear pop, video game music, jazz, film scores, hip-hop, and much more. We are 95% responsible for our own revenue. With an enthusiastic, close-knit, and friendly team, we create unforgettable experiences for our visitors.
You have sufficient technical expertise to work independently in the areas of lighting, sound, hoisting/rigging, and AV technology. Knowledge of lighting using sACN is a plus, but not a requirement. You also have sufficient knowledge to troubleshoot minor malfunctions and/or perform repairs on the technical systems in our building.

As a Theater Technician, you will be part of the Operations Team and will be responsible, among other things, for providing technical support for events held in the building. This support is often provided from the control room, but sometimes also from one of our auditoriums.

Working hours vary and will be determined in consultation with you. You are willing to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
