The Maastricht Institute of Arts is the leading arts education institution in the southern Netherlands and beyond, and is part of Zuyd University of Applied Sciences. Since 1983, it has been committed to offering a variety of programs in the visual and performing arts to a broad, diverse, and mixed population of students from the Netherlands and abroad.

For the Fine Art and Design in Education program, we are looking for:
2 Visual Arts Instructors (0.4 FTE each)

The Bachelor’s program in Fine Art and Design in Education trains the educators of the future—educators who are empowered, look beyond the boundaries of their discipline, and place learning processes at the heart of education. The program offers small-class instruction centered on personal attention and a critical, inquisitive mindset. Together with our students, we take responsibility for our community. Students are challenged to determine their own academic path, work across disciplinary boundaries, and position themselves within the professional field. An inquisitive attitude is central to this and contributes to the training of 21st-century educators. The program develops a more fundamental approach to the themes of diversity and interculturality in its curriculum, learning pathways, and student population.
