BIJ12 is part of the Interprovincial Consultation (IPO), the association of and for provinces. We gather knowledge and information about rural areas and the physical living environment in the Netherlands. We also ensure consistency in the provision of information and the implementation of provincial regulations. At BIJ12, we work together across four units. These are the Wildlife Affairs and ACSG (Groundwater Damage Advisory Committee) unit, the NINB (Nature Information and Nature Management) unit, the Nitrogen and Natura 2000 Expertise Team unit, and the Joint Management Organization (GBO Provinces) unit. The management team (MT) consists of the director, the executive secretary, and the unit managers. The MT and the units are supported by the IPO-wide Operations Department.
Your role as an executive secretary at BIJ12 is wide-ranging. First and foremost, you serve in an advisory and supportive capacity within the Executive Management Team (EMT). You carefully prepare all materials for EMT meetings and advise the EMT on BIJ12-wide issues. You monitor Executive Management agreements and guidelines and, if necessary, handle internal communication regarding them. An important part of your work involves tracking progress and ensuring the quality of deliverables in the Planning and Control cycle, such as the budget, the Spring Memorandum, and the annual financial statements. You ensure that this process runs smoothly and work closely with the Planning and Control advisor.
You will also assist in preparing new tasks for BIJ12 and the administrative decision-making process related to them. To this end, you will support the director and, in your capacity as secretary, participate in senior management and administrative meetings. You will ensure that the administrative structure is up to date and monitor compliance with it. You will participate as an advisor in consultations between the director and the Works Council. You will handle requests for information, advice, and approval from the Works Council and monitor their processing. You will also discuss current events with the Works Council chair on a weekly basis.
