Do you thrive on organization, structure, and a fast-paced environment? Then this is the place for you. We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to support our CEO, think ahead, and ensure that everything runs smoothly. From scheduling to meetings, from memos to policy: you’ll handle it all with care and precision.

About Kunstmin

Kunstmin is Dordrecht’s premier theater. We present, produce, and develop innovative performing arts for everyone in the city and the region. We do this in our historic Schouwburg, which features the Main and Small Auditoriums, and in the industrial Energiehuis, which houses venues such as Machine 3 and Ketel 1. This is where culture comes to life, and you’ll soon be a part of it.

What will you be doing?

In this multifaceted role, you will serve as the right-hand person to our CEO. You will ensure a calm and organized environment and facilitate effective communication, both within the organization and with our Board of Supervisors and the Executive Management Team.

In practical terms, this means:

  • You manage the calendar, email inbox, and correspondence. You keep an eye on the schedule to ensure there’s time for what really matters.
  • You will assist with policy documents, letters, and presentations.
  • You prepare for meetings, draft reports, and ensure that decisions are followed through.
  • You will oversee governance, fair practices, and diversity and inclusion, and contribute ideas on sustainability and accessibility.
  • You will coordinate HR matters such as the hiring and onboarding of new colleagues.
  • And every now and then, you attend a performance to assist with directing—a nice change of pace during the week.

Who are you?

You’re someone who naturally keeps track of the big picture, thinks on your feet, and works independently. You’re discreet, reliable, and enjoy working with others. You feel at home in a creative environment where no two days are the same. We’re looking for:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within the cultural sector
  • A strong affinity for the performing arts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch
  • Proficiency with systems such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and CRM systems

What do we offer you?

A varied role in a dynamic organization where art, culture, and collaboration come together. You’ll work in a close-knit team with direct lines of communication and plenty of room for initiative.

We offer:

  • A dynamic and responsible role
  • Opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute ideas
  • A salary in accordance with theDutch Performing Arts Collective Bargaining Agreement, commensurate with your experience
  • Flexible working hours by arrangement

In short,
You keep a cool head and know exactly what needs to be done. You think ahead, anticipate what’s going on, and adapt smoothly when plans change. Even when things get busy, you maintain a clear overview and work meticulously. You are discreet, reliable, and have a keen sense of what Kunstmin needs. At the same time, you’re someone who connects easily with others—welcoming, sociable, and service-oriented.

Do you recognize yourself or someone you know in the description above?

Then we’d love to hear from you!

We’re interested in hearing from you and look forward to receiving your application. Please send your cover letter and resume tovacature@kunstmin.nlby Wednesday, November 12
