Creative Producer

The creative producer conceives, organizes, and oversees creative and community projects. You ensure that projects are carried out successfully and that everyone is involved, including schools, artists, and the local community. You keep everything organized—such as budgets and schedules—and ensure that the projects align with the organization’s goals.

What will you be doing?

• You develop workshops, lesson series, project days, and multi-year projects in collaboration with schools, creators, and students
• You manage the annual schedule and monitor the allocation of teachers and materials 
• You will communicate with schools, freelance teachers, and staff
• You will be responsible for the production-related preparation, management, and maintenance of equipment
• You will oversee production for projects at the school or on-site in collaboration with the production staff member

What do you need?

• You're good at organizing and keeping track of things
• You have creative ideas and know how to bring them to life
• You have strong communication skills and are able to bring people together
• You are comfortable working with audiovisual media and iPads
• You are familiar with our target audience (students in vocational secondary education and practical training) and have an affinity with them

About Bekijk ‘t

Bekijk 't specializes in film education at the VMBO and vocational schools. We use media that young people enjoy using themselves, such as films, music videos, and podcasts. Students work on developing basic media production skills and then discover or develop their artistic talents under the guidance of professional creators.

Bekijk ‘t’s long-termprojectsalign with subjects such as Civics and Social Studies, thanks to the social themes we choose. Bekijk ‘t’s motto is: learning by doing. Our lessons are always practical,fun, and active. Students work toward a professional end result they can be proud of. We do all of this with a small team of four full-time staff members and a group of freelance professionals. Our workplace is at A-Lab in Amsterdam Noord.

How do you work?

You will work closely with the Head of Education, the production assistant, management, freelancers, schools, and other partners. You will have regular meetings: weekly with the production assistant, and biweekly with management and the team. We will agree on your work schedule together.

The monthly salary is based on Scale 8 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Arts Education, with pay grade determined by age and experience. The schedule follows the school calendar.
