We strive to ensure that as many residents as possible can find something to their liking in our municipality’s cultural offerings. We therefore hope to receive applications from candidates representing a wide range of ages, cultural backgrounds, genders, and fields of expertise.
The Advisory Committee
The committee reviews grant applications for cultural projects across various artistic and cultural disciplines. The Bosch Cultural System Committee does this on behalf of three municipal cultural funds: the National Distinction Fund, the Local Impact Fund, and the Pop-up Fund.
The advisory committee consists of twelve external members who meet in varying configurations to discuss the applications received. Each fund has two application rounds per year.
What does a committee member do?
As a committee member, you will provide recommendations on grant applications from the cultural sector in Den Bosch. A five-member committee is formed for each application round. During committee meetings, you will discuss your findings with the other committee members. Under the chairperson’s leadership, the committee will collectively reach a decision on whether to approve or reject each application.

Who are we looking for?
The Bosch Cultural System Committee reviews applications from various disciplines:
visual arts, theater, music, dance, urban culture, literature, film, and more. That’s why we’re looking for
multiple candidates with diverse areas of expertise and varied backgrounds. Since we are looking to form a broadly-based committee, we also invite you to apply if you have (administrative) experience outside the cultural sector.

Independence
The committee members and chairperson have no administrative, professional, or personal ties to the arts and cultural institutions submitting applications. For this reason, we are seeking committee members who have no direct interests in cultural organizations within the municipality of ’s-Hertogenbosch.
What do we offer?
A committee member is appointed for a four-year term, with the possibility of extending this term
The term may be extended once for a period of two years. There are a maximum of eight meetings per year. The number of meetings you attend depends on your availability. Depending on the number of applications, preparing for and attending a committee meeting will take you about four to six hours.
