More about this organization
Four people are sitting together at a table next to a colorful Wooncompagnie bus, enjoying a cup of coffee.

Do you want to make a difference in an organization that serves a social purpose, where you’ll work alongside great colleagues and have plenty of opportunity to help build an ambitious future together? Then we’re looking for you!

Eyes and ears in the neighborhood

As a Neighborhood Manager at Wooncompagnie, you’re a familiar face in the neighborhood. You know the residents, stay on top of what’s going on, and take action when needed. By caring about people and paying attention to the living environment, you help create neighborhoods where residents feel comfortable and safe every day.

As a Neighborhood Manager, you keep a close eye on what’s happening in neighborhoods and residential complexes. You’re interested in the person behind the resident. You empathize and take action. Every situation is different, and every story has multiple sides, so you engage in conversation, identify potential social issues, and do everything you can to resolve them—in a personal, decisive, and customer-focused manner.

Small actions can go a long way toward creating a pleasant living environment

You play a key role in ensuring a comfortable home. You handle minor complaints, support Neighborhood Advisors, and visit new tenants. You assess living conditions (cleanliness, safety, and structural integrity) and identify issues such as loneliness, confusion, clutter, and other challenges people may be facing. You arrange the right help for those people and are happy to lend a hand when a light bulb or battery needs replacing. You’re that handy. In addition, you don’t hesitate to speak with residents to ensure a clean, intact, and safe living environment.

In your work, you make a big difference through small acts of kindness. Whether it’s lending a listening ear, making sure the landscaping is maintained or the common area is cleaned, or letting someone know when the garden is being neglected—these are small acts that bring joy to both you and the residents.

Is this you?

You enjoy working with others and value clear communication and transparency. You are decisive, independent, and enthusiastic. You have at least a high school diploma, preferably in social services. Your interest in social developments allows you to quickly recognize how neighborhoods are changing. Together with tenants, colleagues, and network partners, you respond to these changes in a targeted manner.

This will be your neighborhood

Our Neighborhoods Department consists of four neighborhood teams: Purmerend, Schagen, Waterland, and Hollands Kroon. We are looking for a colleague to join the Purmerend Neighborhood Team. Our Neighborhood Teams play a central role in improving the quality of life in neighborhoods and communities.
