Are you an experienced business controller who thrives on complex financial and strategic challenges? Do you want to help shape Amsterdam UMC’s digital future and investment decisions? Then this role is for you.
At Amsterdam UMC, we are working on an ambitious digital transformation. New technologies, data, and innovations are playing an increasingly important role in this process. This requires clear choices, realistic business cases, and well-informed decision-making.
As a business controller within the IT Department and the Center for Data & Digitalization, you play a key role in this. You are involved in digital and innovative initiatives from the very beginning and ensure that plans are well-founded in terms of finance, strategy, and content.
You will assist in drafting, analyzing, and evaluating business cases and investment proposals. You will clarify the impact of decisions and help stakeholders focus on realistic expectations, feasibility, and results.
You serve as the link between financial insights, technological developments, and strategic ambitions. You are confident, able to work effectively at all levels, and know how to persuade colleagues and stakeholders to get on board. In doing so, you work closely with architects, project leaders, financial controllers, and senior management.
Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with stakeholders in IT, Finance, and management.
You already have extensive experience as a business controller within a complex organization.
You also have:
You are someone who looks beyond the numbers and understands how financial decisions impact strategy, execution, and organizational development.
Organizationally, you will be part of the ICT Department’s administrative office, and from there you will work within the broader framework of the Center for Data and Digitalization. This Center is a collaborative initiative focused on strategic digital issues, where various disciplines come together to shape the hospital’s digital future.
You will work closely with financial controllers, architects, project teams, and management. You will also regularly coordinate with central controllers from Finance and other departments within Amsterdam UMC.
The IT department also plays a key operational role in delivering stable and reliable IT services. This makes it a dynamic environment: strategic development and day-to-day continuity go hand in hand here.
The first round of talks will take place during the week of June 8.
