The AHK Research Centre is seeking a temporary

Research Policy Officer (0.6–0.9 FTE)

Who are you?

You are a results-oriented and versatile policy officer. You quickly grasp new topics and thrive on variety. You place a high value on co-creation and inclusivity, and enjoy collaborating with (faculty) researchers and colleagues from departments such as Human Resources or Information Management. You value diversity and value everyone’s input; together, you strive for the best possible outcome. You are independent, but also a true team player.

What do you bring to the table?

You have completed a degree program at the associate’s degree level or higher. You are interested in practice-oriented research, particularly in the fields of the arts, arts education, and heritage. You have strong analytical and advisory skills. You are able to express yourself clearly both verbally and in writing.

What will you be doing?

As a research policy officer, you will support the Executive Board and the academies or research groups in the area of research (and research quality assurance). You will also contribute to the research culture at the AHK by organizing meetings and exchanges, such as during the AHK event “The Day of the Lecturer-Researcher.” Key themes and topics currently include academic integrity, the professional doctorate pilot, and the connection between research and education. You identify opportunities for the AHK and research groups, based in part on national trends and developments; collaborate with research group leaders to explore opportunities for collaboration and exchange; and represent the AHK in research-related networks and projects.

Who are we?

The AHK Research Center focuses on connecting, supporting, and raising the profile of the research conducted by the various AHK research groups. The AHK Research Center is rapidly evolving and operates as a network organization. Organizationally, the AHK Research Center falls under the Department of Education, Research, and Communication, which is part of the AHK Service Bureau. The AHK Research Center is part of the AHK. The AHK’s six academies offer bachelor’s, master’s, and AD programs in the disciplines of music, theater, dance, film, architecture, heritage, and (visual) arts and art education.

What do we offer you?

The position is classified in pay scale 10. Employment and compensation are governed by the collective bargaining agreement for higher professional education (CAO-HBO). Your pay grade will depend in part on your education, experience, and most recent salary. The reference position is Staff Advisor B. A competitive benefits package is offered. For the five-month period (Sept. 22–Jan. 23), the position is for a maximum of 0.9 FTE, followed by one day per week for the remainder of the 2022–2023 academic year (total of ten months). This is a maternity/parental leave replacement. If you become our colleague, we will request a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) prior to your start date. Your workplace is at the Reinwardt Academy, Hortusplantsoen 2.
