
De Schuur is a vibrant cultural hub in the heart of Haarlem. In our four venues, we welcome audiences to enjoy theater, dance, spoken word, and films. In addition, our own Schuurcafé features a program consisting of DJs, talks, and various specials. We collaborate closely with social partners, and through our educational activities, we reach nearly all primary and secondary schools in the region. De Schuur is closely connected to Toneelschuur Producties, the largest production house in the Netherlands where theater talents develop into top directors. We are looking for anAll-Around Theater Technician (F/M/N) for32–36 hours per week for the new theater season, starting in October 2024
A creative theater technician with touring experience, preferably a graduate of a relevant program who feels a strong connection to the programming of De Schuur and Toneelschuur Producties. Someone who enjoys working in a close-knit team and at the same time can take responsibility for projects. Someone who is eager to learn and approaches work with a creative, slightly unconventional perspective, and is actively involved in the creative process. You preferably have knowledge of ETC Eos lighting consoles and QLab, and are proficient with technical drawing software. Experience with AV and computer networks is a plus.
You will be working in a great team of 9 technicians with whom you will share joint responsibility for the technical preparation and execution of our guest performances, events, and our own Toneelschuur Productions. As a stage technician, you will be versatile across all disciplines and, as a lighting technician, you will be able to run a performance independently. In addition, you will be jointly responsible for minor building maintenance and other facility-related tasks.
We offer you a versatile role within a dynamic organization. The contract is for one year. If you prove to be a good fit, an extension is a possibility. De Schuur offers an inspiring, informal work environment in the center of Haarlem, with a team of dedicated and enthusiastic colleagues. The position is classified under Scale V of the Theater and Dance Collective Bargaining Agreement (CAO), with a minimum of €2,704 and a maximum of €3,941 gross per month, depending on your work experience.
