Are you an experienced Agile coach who cares not only about team performance but also about the well-being of your colleagues? And do you enjoy helping to innovate and optimize products and services and make our organization more agile? If so, you’re the Agile coach we’re looking for.

What you will be doing

As an Agile Coach, you will help our organization foster an agile mindset to promote collaboration, agility, and performance. In this role, you will be part of the HR team and work closely with the Technology & Operations Division. The departments and teams within this division implement our agile way of working in various ways. Not “agile by the book,” but doing what works.

Together with managers, cluster leads, product owners, Scrum Masters, and teams, you will continue the agile transition that is already underway. To support the teams in this process, we have launched TeamUp!, an initiative designed to facilitate the development of various roles, collaboration, and performance. As an Agile Coach, you will work on the further development of TeamUp! and serve as the point of contact.

Your main responsibilities within the Technology & Operations Department are:

  • Further development of TeamUp!;
  • Putting inclusive leadership into practice in an agile environment;
  • Taking on the role of Scrum Master within various teams as needed;
  • Providing support and coaching on agile working and the application of agile methods and techniques;
  • Coaching the organization, managers, and teams in Agile, Scrum, Lean, Kanban, and Design Thinking.
  • You are an advocate for agile working and take the initiative to help the organization embrace this approach. With your knowledge and experience, you contribute to a learning organization that adapts easily and effectively to changes in its environment.

You'll recognize yourself in this

You have a growth mindset and are able to inspire teams to continuously develop and adapt to the needs of our audience and other target groups.

And also:

  • You have a degree at the associate’s level or higher and several years of experience coaching and guiding teams in an agile environment;
  • You have proven expertise in change management, combined with highly developed interpersonal skills and the courage and good timing to step in;
  • You will use your technical expertise to help teams adapt their work methods and increase their effectiveness;
  • You are a team player with a keen understanding of organizational dynamics and a focus on collaboration;
  • You are curious and have strong communication skills;
  • In addition to strategic and tactical thinking skills, you also have practical initiative;
  • You have experience coaching inclusive teams.

The HR Department

The HR department is at the heart of the organization and strives to make the greatest possible contribution to achieving the NPO’s goals. The HR department contributes to the organization’s success by providing proactive advice—both solicited and unsolicited—to the board of directors, senior management, and line managers.

The HR department you will be joining consists of:

  • Three HR business partners;
  • One organizational development consultant;
  • Two recruiters;
  • An HR help desk for payroll and personnel administration;
  • Project leadership and management support.

As an Agile Coach, you will report to the HR & Organizational Development Manager.

Terms of Employment

  • At NPO, we have a 36-hour workweek with flexible working hours;
  • You will receive a fixed year-end bonus equal to 6% of your annual salary;
  • You will receive 200 vacation hours;
  • We have an NPO Academy to help you further your professional development.

The position of Agile Coach is a full-time role requiring 24 to 32 hours per week. You will start with a one-year contract, and the salary ranges from €4,007 to €6,485 gross per month based on a 36-hour workweek. We determine the salary based on education, experience, and equal pay for all genders.

The NPO has a public mission: to serve the interests of every individual and society as a whole. In doing so, we are guided by the needs of our audience, regardless of their backgrounds or views. We want this to be reflected in our organization’s workforce. We believe in an inclusive organization that harnesses the power of diversity to achieve even better results. Because it is precisely because we differ from one another that we can arrive at new insights and better solutions. And that is exactly what we, as the NPO, are looking for. We are curious to learn who you are and what qualities and experience you bring to the table. Our job openings are therefore open to everyone.
