As an Administrator, you will be part of the Administration Department, which is responsible for financial administration, payroll administration, and grant and fund administration, and oversees all aspects of Paradiso’s operations related to finance and administration.

Paradiso is a leading cultural organization that organizes approximately 1,200 events annually, both within its own iconic walls and at other venues such as the Tolhuistuin/Club Parallel, Bitterzoet, De Duif, and the Zonnehuis. The programming ranges from concerts and club events to lectures and visual arts. We collaborate with affiliated organizations that have specific expertise, such as Sonic Acts and Summerdance Forever. Paradiso aims to be both a high-profile cultural hub and the living room of young Amsterdam. In doing so, Paradiso consistently prioritizes safety, accessibility, equality, and sustainability—for artists and visitors alike, as well as for everyone who works at Paradiso.

Paradiso has over 200 employees. As an Administrator, you will be part of the Administration Department, which is responsible for financial administration, payroll administration, and grant and fund administration, and oversees all aspects of Paradiso’s operations related to finance and administration. The Administration & Finance Department consists of a Head of Administration and Finance, four administrators, and four administrative staff members.

Your responsibilities:

  • Handling all financial administration; entering invoices, preparing reports, and providing financial accountability.
  • Apply for and settle grants.
  • Preparing and supervising audits.
  • Improving and automating various administrative workflows.
  • Consult with other departments, such as management and programmers.

You have:

  • At least a bachelor's degree level of education, with specialized knowledge and experience in the field of financial reporting and auditing,
  • Excellent knowledge of financial administration, both for commercial activities and for grant and fundraising activities,
  • The ability to prepare various reports, such as financial statements and grant reports,
  • Strong communication skills to present financial information clearly to third parties (both internal and external).

Further information

The position is classified in accordance with Paradiso’s collective bargaining agreement. This position is classified in pay grade 6, with a salary range of €2,438 to €3,552 gross per month, depending on the number of years of relevant work experience.
