
The Buddy Film Foundation is a support center for refugee professional filmmakers, crew members, cast members, and creatives. In 2018, we launched two initiatives to cover our own costs: Buddy Film Casting and Buddy Film Productions.

The Operations Manager and the Executive Director jointly oversee day-to-day management, with the Operations Manager responsible for facilities, finances, organizational structure, expertise in grant applications, contract management, and shaping the future strategy aimed at further professionalizing BFF. The Operations Manager thrives in an inclusive work environment and understands the backgrounds of our participants.
The Executive Director prepares the annual budget, manages the accounting in consultation with the bookkeeper, and oversees the annual audit conducted by the accountant. The Executive Director is also responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with established goals and agreements with stakeholders and funding organizations, as well as the three Codes for Governance, Fair Practice, and Diversity and Inclusion.
The appointment is for one year, with the intention of extending it. Buddy Film Foundation is a social enterprise organized as a foundation.
The Buddy Film Foundation consists of a small team of employees with a creative and socially conscious focus. We also expect our Executive Director to share this focus and to have a hands-on work ethic.
The executive director has proven business, financial, and leadership experience; is strategic, decisive, and empathetic; understands artistic practice; and is able to listen to the interests and needs of a diverse team and participants from various cultural backgrounds.
