Would you like to lead a school that makes a direct contribution to the future of health care and social services? ROC Mondriaan is looking for a unifying and inspiring school director for its Health Care and Social Services program in Delft.

The School

Every year, Zorg en Welzijn Delft trains approximately 900 students for careers in healthcare and social services, thereby playing a vital role in a sector facing major societal challenges. The school is part of the Zorg, Onderwijs en Welzijn school group and collaborates closely with partners in the Haaglanden region. With a solid foundation in educational quality, collaboration, and ownership, there is a strong basis for continuing to build future-proof and innovative vocational education that meets the needs of students, employers, and society.

The position

As a school principal, you will have overall responsibility for Zorg en Welzijn Delft. You will oversee education, staff, quality, operations, and the school’s positioning. In doing so, you will work closely with the assistant principal and, together with the other school principals and directors of education, form the executive team of the Zorg, Onderwijs en Welzijn school group. You operate at the intersection of educational development, organizational development, and collaboration with the professional field.

The assignment

The core of this role lies in further strengthening the school as a professional, forward-looking educational organization. You will build on a solid foundation and chart the course for the next phase of development.

You:

  • strengthens the professional and learning culture within the school and encourages ownership, collaboration, and continuous quality improvement;
  • supports employees and teams in their development and helps them take joint responsibility for results and the quality of education;
  • works with the professional community to develop innovative and flexible educational programs that meet the needs of students, employers, and society;
  • continues to build sustainable partnerships with healthcare and social services organizations in the region;
  • translates developments in the labor market, demographics, and education into strategic decisions for the school;
  • actively contributes to educational development, quality, operations, and positioning within the school group;
  • provides an attractive and future-proof range of educational programs that align with societal developments

You have a vision for future-oriented vocational education and understand the social significance of programs in the health and welfare sectors. You know how to engage people in the change process and create an environment in which professionals take responsibility, collaborate, and continue to develop.

You navigate complex organizations with ease, know how to translate strategic issues into concrete results, and have an eye for both people and the organization. You are visible, approachable, and decisive when necessary.

Terms of Employment

You can count on an attractive benefits package in accordance with the MBO collective bargaining agreement. The position is classified in pay scale 14, with a gross monthly salary between €6,268 and €8,336 (based on full-time employment), a year-end bonus, vacation pay, and ample opportunities for professional development.
