The ROSE Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced executive director to coordinate all theater activities, for a position of 32–40 hours per week.
Since its founding in 2017, the ROSE Foundation—under the name ROSE stories—has collaborated with amazing, often emerging artists to create a wide variety of performances. You may know us from, among others, the recent hit production *Happy in Holland*, the family show *The Ozard of Wiz*, or the solo performance *Granm’ma*. Each and every one of these productions surprises, inspires, and brings people together.
Since 2021, the ROSE Foundation has received multi-year funding from the City of Amsterdam (through the Amsterdam Basic Infrastructure Fund) and the Performing Arts Fund. We produce an average of three shows per year, ranging from family and children’s performances to productions for adults, for large, medium, and small venues, and for a broad audience aged 4 to 99. We place a strong emphasis on reaching new audiences. The ROSE Foundation consists of a small, close-knit team of seven people, all of whom are passionately committed to our mission. To bring our plans to fruition, the ROSE Foundation is seeking an experienced executive director to keep everything running smoothly.

In addition, you are responsible for operational management and (together with the head of fundraising) the acquisition of financial resources. In addition, we work with an average of about 20 independent contractors per year on our theater productions, and you will serve as their primary point of contact. You will be responsible for maintaining our positive company culture and supporting the professional development of our permanent team.
A flexible and challenging work environment. Together with the board and a team of passionate colleagues, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the ROSE Foundation and contribute to an organization that has become an integral part of the theater world. In addition, we offer:
