Building an effective operational structure. Collaborating with our partners in the healthcare sector. And inspiring our care teams in Friesland and Flevoland. As Regional Director, you’ll do it all. And you’ll do it at Accare, a unique organization in youth mental health care that combines academic research with treatment and training. All with one goal in mind: getting children and young people back on their feet and helping them move forward. Will you make a difference?

What will you be doing?

Together with Harry Meulman, Regional Director of Care Services, you will focus on ensuring effective operations and high-quality care in our Friesland/Flevoland region. This means that 180 colleagues who provide care to approximately 2,500 young people and their families each year can count on you. You will shape Accare’s strategic policy in the region. In addition, there are important internal and external developments taking place within our organization to which you will contribute significantly. How about setting and implementing our strategic course “We’re Building Tomorrow,” in which the client is central, we make optimal use of our resources, and we strengthen one another? You’ll also be involved in national themes such as the Youth Reform Agenda and will take ownership of a number of Accare-wide strategic themes. You truly make a difference—for Accare and our clients.

Here are some of your responsibilities:

  • All teams operate according to the "Co-Leadership" philosophy. You help them carry out their work, set the parameters, and—based on trust—create maximum autonomy and freedom within those parameters.
  • You will ensure the right balance between the development of the core business process and sound operational management. In doing so, you will identify potential operational opportunities and risks within contracts with healthcare procurement organizations, which you will monitor and manage.
  • You’ll ensure that income and revenue are in balance and promote financial awareness among your colleagues. We’re in good financial health. And of course, we want to keep it that way so we can remain flexible and well-prepared for the future.
  • In no time, you’ll build a strong network that includes local governments and other partners. In doing so, you’ll connect the outside world with Accare’s work.
  • You will serve as a key advisor to the Board of Directors. And as part of the executive team, you will help shape the vision and direction of our organization.
  • One of your top priorities is an organization made up of colleagues with diverse backgrounds and talents.

Here's what you'll get from us

  • A gross monthly salary between €6,988 and €10,704 (FWG job group 80 under the mental health care collective bargaining agreement) based on a 36-hour workweek.
  • A permanent position.
  • In May, you will receive your vacation bonus of 8.33%, and in December, your year-end bonus of 8.33%.
  • The option to work remotely, with a generous remote work allowance.
  • A good pension plan.
  • 166 hours of leave and 35 hours in the form of a life-stage budget per calendar year (based on a 36-hour workweek).
  • We place a strong emphasis on work-life balance and well-being. This includes access to a variety of online tools, a bicycle plan, company-sponsored fitness programs, and an annual work-life balance budget (€1,000, prorated) that you can use for training, time off, or a salary bonus.

Who are you?

You combine a strong vision for business operations with collaborative and empathetic leadership. You enjoy working with colleagues and external partners to achieve the desired results. At the same time, you are also capable of working independently to implement our goals and policies. In your work, you strive to build strong partnerships and relationships, but you also have the confidence to take a critical stance and make decisive decisions. You have strong interpersonal skills and are proactive. You can turn plans into action. You also closely follow developments in our field, recognize the needs and interests of stakeholders, and think in terms of solutions.

What else do you have at home?

  • Academic level.
  • Knowledge of change processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Experience managing (highly educated) professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in healthcare management.
  • Experience in account management.
  • A relevant network or the skills to build one quickly.

Who are we?

At Accare, you’ll have the opportunity to grow and push boundaries. All for one goal: to get 13,000 children and young people in the northern, central, and eastern Netherlands moving again and help them get back on track. We believe that no one’s problems are “too complex.” That’s why we invest in research, training, and innovation, and offer customized solutions—even when it’s challenging. We often do this in collaboration with others, such as municipalities, schools, and healthcare providers.

Our ideal scenario? A team that’s just as diverse as the children, young people, and families we help. We’re not quite there yet, but we’re working on it. We value the differences among our colleagues; that helps us stay sharp and learn from one another. That’s exactly why we’re open to your perspectives and ideas. With our flat hierarchy and open culture, we work together to create an environment where you’ll feel at home and can grow.

Friesland/Flevoland Region

Your region consists of five outpatient clinics for specialized youth mental health care, four of which are located in Friesland and one in Almere. In addition, you will manage the contract with the healthcare procurement organizations in the region. You will do this in close collaboration with the Director of Care and will lead the support team, which consists of the HR, business control, content, healthcare administration, and secretarial departments. As Regional Director, you will report to the Board of Directors and be part of the executive team. Within this team, you will collaborate with the management teams of the clinic in Smilde and our three other Accare regions, as well as the leaders of the support services (HR, operations, quality, and care).
