
Would you like to lead a dynamic group of schools and help shape the future of vocational education in the Haaglanden region? ROC Mondriaan is seeking a collaborative and strategically strong Director of Education for the Hospitality, Beauty & Sport school group.
ROC Mondriaan is the regional training center for secondary vocational education in the Haaglanden region. With approximately 250 programs, 19,000 students, and 2,400 staff members, we work every day to provide quality education, equal opportunities, and a strong connection to the job market. Guided by our mission statement, “You make it happen with Mondriaan,” we train students to become skilled professionals and engaged citizens.
As Director of Education, you will have overall responsibility for the Hospitality, Beauty & Sport school group, which consists of five schools with approximately 4,000 students and 375 staff members. You will oversee the school principals and serve on the executive team of ROC Mondriaan.
You work at the intersection of strategy, educational quality, and organizational development, and actively contribute to the direction of the organization as a whole.
The core of the role lies in further strengthening collaboration, quality, and development within the school group. You will combine the strengths of autonomous schools with a shared vision and shared responsibility for results. You will also actively contribute to the development of strategic policy, both for the school group and at the institutional level.
You:
You are an experienced leader who provides direction and fosters connections. You have extensive experience working in a complex organization, preferably in education or a similar social context, and are accustomed to working with broad-based responsibility.
You know how to translate strategic issues into concrete results and have experience managing and developing leaders. You are comfortable in an administrative environment and are sensitive to different interests and perspectives. You adopt a coaching approach when appropriate and are clear and direct when necessary. You bring focus, make decisions, and know how to engage people in the development process.
You are a strong and approachable leader with a natural ability to collaborate. You bring calm and clarity, as well as energy and initiative. You care about both people and results, and you help foster an open and inclusive work environment.

You can expect an attractive benefits package in accordance with the MBO collective bargaining agreement (scale 15), with a gross monthly salary ranging from €6,574 to €9,141 (based on full-time employment), a year-end bonus, vacation pay, and ample opportunities for professional development.
