Finance/IT Manager (m/f)

(36 hours per week)

Position

As Finance and IT Manager, you are responsible for the financial and administrative operations of the Dutch Patient Federation, internal controls, and the associated reporting.

You will support and advise the CEO and management on financial, operational, strategic, and IT-related issues, plans, and risks. You will be involved in all aspects of financial management. This includes, among other things, financial (project) reports and statements, the annual financial statements, and (project) budgets.

As a manager, you are part of the management team. You will oversee a small Finance department and an IT staff member.

Profile

We are looking for a Finance/IT Manager who feels right at home in an informal yet highly professional organization with many projects and enthusiastic colleagues. You recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or economics;
  • You have at least five years of experience with all aspects of the planning and control cycle, and you have experience with government grants;
  • Experience with project-based work and/or process optimization is a plus;
  • You have experience with or an affinity for leadership and collaborating with project managers;
  • You are entrepreneurial, have strong analytical skills, are results-oriented, and are eager to join an organization that advocates for patients’ interests.
  • You are hands-on and have knowledge of IT and information tools such as Power BI.

Offer

We offer a challenging position in a dynamic organization. You’ll be joining a friendly team where hard work and fun go hand in hand. At the Patient Federation, our working hours are flexible. We work partly at the office in Utrecht and partly from home. This is a permanent position, and you will start with a one-year employment contract. If you perform well in the role and demonstrate that you are a good fit, your appointment will be converted to a permanent contract. Depending on your education and experience, the salary is up to €6,065.00 gross per month for a 36-hour workweek (Social Work Collective Bargaining Agreement, Scale 12).

The Dutch Patient Federation offers excellent employment conditions, including an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) and a career budget. The IKB is a budget that you can use to receive a cash payment or, for example, to purchase additional leave hours. You will also receive a work-from-home allowance and, if applicable, reimbursement for your commuting expenses. Under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), you will be enrolled in the Pension Fund for Health and Welfare.
