Cultuur+Ondernemen (www.cultuur-ondernemen.nl) is the leading knowledge platform for entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative sectors and a funding source for cultural entrepreneurs. We are here to support cultural organizations and independent artists and creatives who want to start their own businesses, so that they can thrive and society can reap the full benefits of what culture has to offer.
To that end, we collaborate with governments and foundations, among others, to maximize the impact of their cultural policies and investments. We advocate for an inclusive arts and culture sector and are convinced that diversity and inclusion make us stronger. As a knowledge platform, we focus on three areas of expertise: governance, business development, and financing. In addition, we provide loans to cultural entrepreneurs and serve as the custodian and guardian of the Governance Code for Culture. Cultuur+Ondernemen is funded through the Basic Cultural Infrastructure (BIS) program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science (OCW) and also works on behalf of government agencies, foundations, and other partners. As such, the organization operates at the intersection of culture, entrepreneurship, financing, and social impact.

We are looking for a member of the Supervisory Board with a strong financial background. As a member of the Supervisory Board, you will contribute to the financial sustainability, strategic development, and social impact of Cultuur+Ondernemen. You will serve on the finance committee and, in that role, act as a key point of contact for the executive director, controller, and external auditor. We are looking for someone who can translate financial trends in the field into strategic decisions and who understands how entrepreneurship, public value, and cultural impact can reinforce one another.
