Member of the Executive Board
Effective August 1, 2023, we are seeking an entrepreneurial, collaborative, and innovative school leader who, together with the chairperson, can share overall responsibility for a very large secondary school. This vacancy has arisen due to the appointment of the current member as chairperson of the Central Board.
Bonhoeffer College is led by a Central Executive Board consisting of two members: a chairperson and a member of the Central Executive Board. Together, they form a close-knit team. The Central Executive Board serves as the collegial leadership with overall responsibility, with the chairperson acting as primus inter pares. Although the two members of the Central Executive Board have a clear division of portfolios, they operate according to a collegial working model. The members of the Central Executive Board make working agreements regarding the division of portfolios. The members of the Central Executive Board serve as important sparring partners for one another in all policy areas, whereby the policy areas are distinguished but not separated. There is open and constructive cooperation between the Central Management and the five location directors.
Given the current composition of the Executive Board, expertise in the areas of educational quality and development, HR, and organizational development would be a valuable addition.
What will you be doing?
The mandate regarding the portfolios of HR, organizational development, and educational quality specifically includes:
- Developing a consistent, appropriate vision of educational quality and its relationship to labor market shortages.
- Develop a sustainable vision and achieve results in the aforementioned areas, drawing in part on an understanding of the wide diversity of students and the dynamics and challenges this presents.
- Further developing a learning organization in which trust, internal and external connections, collaboration, and distributed leadership are key pillars.
- Further strengthening the professional culture, in which fostering and developing the strengths of all students is essential.
Who are we looking for?
The new Chair of the Executive Board leads in an inspiring manner based on trust, serves as a valuable sounding board, and provides guidance and direction with substance and authority. Potential candidates must possess the following core competencies: strategic vision, inspirational leadership, the ability to build consensus, social skills, and networking abilities.
You will also have access to:
- Academic level of work and thinking in the areas of strategic policy development, integrated leadership, educational development, and financial management.
- Extensive experience leading professionals in complex organizations; strong networking skills.
- Proven leadership experience in educational quality, organizational development, and HR.
