De Waterheuvel is a foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with mental health issues in Amsterdam. The foundation offers a close-knit community of peers, as well as daytime activities, employment, and educational opportunities. De Waterheuvel operates according to the Clubhouse Model, a recovery approach that originated in New York and is used worldwide to support members in their recovery. 

Job Description

  • Ambassador for the De Waterheuvel Foundation, serving as the public face of the Clubhouse Model both within and outside the organization.
  • Oversees the implementation of the Standards established by the Clubhouse Model, which focuses on the development and recovery of members.
  • Manages the team (7.5 FTE) and is capable of independently overseeing HR operations.
  • Maintaining and strengthening collaborations and relationships with local, national, and international partners.
  • Preparing, monitoring, and managing the budget, including financial accountability.
  • Responsible for fundraising and financing, including grants and fund management.

Knowledge/experience

  • At least a college-level standard of work and thinking
  • Knowledge of developments in the field of participation and recovery
  • Demonstrable experience and/or affinity with the target audience of the Waterheuvel Foundation
  • An affinity for working within a community
  • Has a relevant network within the City of Amsterdam, the healthcare sector, the business community, and government and quasi-governmental agencies
  • Experience with grant applications and/or fundraising
  • Management experience

Other

  • Salary range: Job Group 70 of the GGZ Collective Bargaining Agreement (€5,629 to €7,659 across 12 pay grades) 
  • This is a full-time position for 36 hours per week 
  • One-year contract with the possibility of a permanent position
