HVO-Querido is seeking a director for the outpatient care portfolio.
Home. The place where someone lives, which can take many forms. Where you feel safe and at ease. Everyone deserves a place like that—in their living space and in society. Because a home provides people with the foundation to build their future and participate in society. This is essential for recovery and for taking control of your life through your own strength—with or without ongoing support from us. That is what we stand for at HVO-Querido, and that is where we feel at home.
As Director of Care, you play an essential role in this regard, working alongside team managers. Together with team managers, you translate strategic organizational goals and policy initiatives into concrete actions within your own organizational unit. In doing so, you support the team managers in their role of delivering high-quality care within the established frameworks. As director, you are fully responsible for the quality of care and for sustainable operations, including finance, HR, and information provision within your organizational unit.
We are looking for a director for our outpatient care portfolio. This portfolio includes 12 teams (with multiple sub-teams) and employs 21 managers. The teams provide outpatient residential support to our clients, including both those living independently and those in certain types of group living arrangements. The Director of Care shares responsibility for organization-wide strategy and policy and participates in various projects and steering committees, both internally and externally. They also play a leading role on behalf of our organization within the city.
Are you the director who can help us improve the quality of our care and help develop our organization? Collaborative, visionary, results-oriented, and business-savvy—with these qualities, you will lead one of HVO-Querido’s care units.
Through strength-based, servant leadership, you will build and enhance the care we provide to our clients and inspire employees to help shape the organization. You will actively engage with clients and employees, be approachable to them, listen to their needs, and know how to respond to them. You feel right at home in the dynamic world of healthcare. As Director of Care, your core responsibilities include the following:
HVO-Querido is here for people in vulnerable situations. People who have become homeless or are struggling with psychosocial or psychiatric issues (including addiction) can count on us. In addition, our support focuses on sex workers, victims of human trafficking, and undocumented individuals. Anyone who wants to give their life new meaning and direction can turn to us. HVO-Querido is committed to providing quality support to people who have (temporarily) lost control of their lives. The three directors of care, the director of care development and research, the director of operations, the director of HR & Communications, the program director of work, participation, and recovery, and the executive secretary together form the management team. You will report to the two-member board of directors.
You are a strong-willed individual with excellent networking and collaboration skills. You have a clear vision for healthcare and are able to communicate it effectively. You are results-oriented, decisive, and a natural team player. Your open-minded approach makes you easy to approach and helps create a safe environment for both staff and clients. If you recognize yourself in the qualities listed below, we’d love to meet you!
HVO-Querido is committed to being an inclusive and equitable organization where all clients and employees can be themselves and feel at home, with the goal of providing better quality care to our clients and offering a safe and inspiring workplace for our employees.
