  • A catalyst for recognition and acknowledgment, and for consolidating the influence that PostCovid NL currently wields in the social, medical, and political spheres.
  • An advocate for sustained attention to the care of people with post-COVID/PAIS and research into the condition (e.g., centers of expertise, PCNN).
  • A connector who can further develop the PAIS field through collaboration while ensuring that there remains room and attention for post-COVID issues within it.
  • A strategist who can capitalize on and build upon the current momentum surrounding the post-COVID era within the PAIS field.

Turn recognition into lasting change

  • You represent the organization in all relevant external forums, consultative bodies, and networks, and are able to effectively advocate and present arguments from the patient’s perspective.
  • You will develop and implement lobbying and advocacy strategies.
  • You will be responsible for strategic positioning and policy decisions within the framework of the annual plan.
  • You identify social, political, and medical trends and translate them into strategic advice for the organization. You have a natural inclination to seek out new opportunities.
  • You will actively work on relationship management and strengthening network partnerships.
  • You are the spokesperson for the press.
  • You will work closely with the Director of Operations & Internal Affairs on decisions that affect the team or the internal organization.
  • As part of the executive team, you will ensure that the organization maintains a future-proof position in the field.
  • You will work closely with the team and the experts by experience.

Line of accountability

You will report to the Director of Operations & Internal Affairs.

You in this role

You feel at home in a dynamic environment involving patients, healthcare, politics, and science. You switch effortlessly between a meaningful conversation with a patient, a substantive discussion with policymakers, and an interview with the press. You think strategically, act decisively, and always put the patient’s perspective first.

What you bring to the table:

  • You have extensive experience as a stakeholder manager in complex (healthcare) networks or programs.
  • You have experience with lobbying and advocacy, preferably at the national level.
  • You're very familiar with the Dutch healthcare system and know how things work.
  • Knowledge of post-COVID and PAIS is a plus; a willingness to quickly learn more about these topics is a must.
  • You have a college- or university-level education and way of thinking.
  • You're a strategist; you spot opportunities, capitalize on momentum, and aren't afraid to make decisions.
  • You're a true team player; you bring people together and keep everyone engaged.
  • You're a driving force; you get people moving and keep going, even when things get tough.
  • You are persuasive and bold, and you aren’t afraid to be blunt when necessary.
  • You have political sensitivity; you have a good sense of what’s appropriate, when, and with whom.
  • Of course, you will be working with (and for) people with lived experience.

What do we offer?

  • A one-year contract with the option to renew.
  • A salary in accordance with pay scale L (ranging from €4,910 to €7,205) under the Longfonds Collective Bargaining Agreement, depending on education and experience, based on a 36-hour workweek.
  • A pleasant, innovative, and educational work environment with opportunities for professional growth.
  • An open and collaborative work environment that encourages initiative and features great coworkers.
  • Attractive employee benefits, including a 13th month’s salary and a wellness budget.
  • Full reimbursement of travel expenses for public transportation (our office is located near Amersfoort Centraal Station) or by bicycle.
