
The Certification Organization for Library Services, Culture, and Language (CBCT) is seeking a:
Guide quality, development, and social impact in the library, cultural, and language sectors
Public libraries, arts centers, and language centers together form an indispensable social infrastructure. They contribute to equal opportunities, social cohesion, and democratic resilience—especially in an era of digitalization, polarization, and rapid changes in the labor market. TheCertification Organization for Library Work, Culture, and Language (CBCT)plays a key role in this by independently assessing the quality and future-readiness of these organizations and their services, as well as by sharing knowledge with the sector.
To further strengthen this role, CBCT is seeking adirectorwith vision, the ability to build connections, and a keen eye for quality.
As director of CBCT, you will fulfill a multifaceted role as both a manager and an ambassador. You will lead a small but expert team and navigate with ease the complex landscape of libraries, cultural organizations, government agencies, and community partners. You will have ultimate responsibility for the organization and serve as the public face of CBCT within the sector.
You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and are able to integrate content, organization, and finance.
You are a strategic and people-oriented leader with a keen sense of social awareness. You thrive in an environment with many stakeholders and diverse interests, and you know how to stay the course.

The terms of employment and compensation are in accordance with theCollective Bargaining Agreement for Public Libraries. Pay scale14.
