To continue building our ambitious organization, Fronteer is seeking a new office director. Building on our strong foundation, we are entering a phase of growth that requires leadership capable of taking our organization to the next level and ensuring its stability. About the role 

As Office Director, you will help ensure Fronteer’s continuity and growth. You will set a clear strategic direction, maintain robust operations, and ensure sound financial management. You will lead the team and be responsible for realizing our ambitions. You will establish long-term strategies that align with global trends and developments in the consulting industry, and ensure that our work reflects Fronteer’s values.

 You combine strategic thinking with a proactive approach. You are actively engaged in the field and build strong relationships with clients and partners. You create an environment where people can grow, with room for autonomy and trust.

What you will be doing

Leadership

  • You provide direction for the organization and ensure stable and smooth operations
  • You support, coach, and develop employees so they can excel
  • You ensure the quality of work, processes, and customer relationships
  • You'll find an open and welcoming culture with a professional edge 

Strategy and Direction

  • You will develop a forward-looking vision and oversee its implementation
  • You ensure that the focus remains on tasks that align with Fronteer’s mission 

Financial and Operational Management

  • You are responsible for all aspects of budgeting, planning, and quality
  • You ensure healthy margins, a predictable annual cycle, and smart decision-making
  • You ensure the stability of processes and systems so that the team can focus on content and client work

 Commercial responsibility

  • You will build a strong and relevant network and maintain meaningful customer relationships
  • You develop new offerings and know how to translate customer needs into concrete solutions
  • You are ultimately responsible for commercial results and help others improve their commercial skills
  • You will contribute to Fronteer’s market positioning, publications, and visibility

Actively involved in projects

  • You oversee strategic projects as a challenger and coach team members as needed
  • You ensure our clients' satisfaction

Who you are

  • Strong analytical and strategic skills; you bring calm and structure
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented
  • Strong communicator, warm and approachable, yet clear and firm when necessary
  • Able to build trust, have meaningful conversations, and inspire the team
  • Experienced in leading an organization
  • Ambitious, energetic, and driven to make a social impact
  • Strong and experienced in operational and financial management
  • Experience with strategy development or strategic consulting in a broad sense; you understand how a consulting firm operates and have experience with strategic issues
  • You have a large and active network and a proven track record in business development
  • Experience with tenders and working with public or semi-public entities is a plus

Collaboration

We are a small consulting firm with a team of 20–25 people; communication lines are short and the culture is informal. The new director will take over from the current managing partner and join the management team alongside the other founding partner and an associate partner. The director will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization and will work closely with the senior team and HR.
