Oranje Energie (a cooperative, formerly known as 02025) harnesses the power of Amsterdammers who want to save energy together, switch to clean energy, and organize themselves to achieve this. In this way, we are growing to include hundreds of initiatives across the city and building an energy transition that pays off socially, economically, and ecologically for everyone.

Our goal: to have at least one-third of Amsterdam’s energy assets owned by Amsterdammers themselves by 2035.

Who are you? You’re the linchpin of the organization. You make sure everything runs smoothly: the paperwork is in order, you have a clear overview, projects run smoothly, and initiatives are visible to the people of Amsterdam.

You will combine project coordination and communication in a single role. The projects you coordinate will result in identifying at least 30 energy initiatives and guiding at least 5 of them toward becoming well-established organizations. In doing so, you will work with stakeholders such as the City of Amsterdam, existing energy communities, and other relevant partners.

We are looking for the following skills:

Project Coordination

  • Coordinating various project activities (including the accelerator program)
  • Organizing meetings (from invitations to follow-up)
  • Monitoring the schedule
  • Coordinating with colleagues, speakers, and partners
  • Contributing ideas to the development and implementation of programs (from concept to execution)
  • Organizing and maintaining project records
  • Processing data and contributing to reports and the annual report

Communication

  • Communicating via the website, newsletter, annual report, and social media
  • Planning and executing campaigns related to events and the State of Energy
  • Handling communications related to activities
  • Collecting and sharing stories from the network
  • Staying in touch with participants and partners
  • Promote funds within the network

Who are you?

  • You have at least 3 years of work experience (mid-level)
  • You work quickly, independently, and in an organized and proactive manner, and you take responsibility
  • You have a knack for organizing and keeping track of things
  • You are fluent in Dutch and communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally
  • You enjoy working on a project basis and are able to juggle multiple tasks
  • You have an interest in social projects (preferably related to the energy transition)
  • You are curious, dedicated, and practical
  • You have experience with campaigns
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (communications, project management, energy)
