Hilversum is seeking an experienced Operations Manager (32–36 hours/week)

Operations Manager, you ensure that all financial, facilities, IT,
security, and procurement matters for the public spaces, offices, and studios
run smoothly. By effectively establishing seamless support,
your team contributes to the further growth and professionalization of the
organization.
In the new library, we’ll be collaborating more than ever before. Everyone plays a vital role in the bigger picture. In addition to having a pioneering spirit, it’s important that you enjoy working with people, are comfortable reaching out to others, and can work together pragmatically and systematically to identify initial, intermediate, and final steps—all while taking pride in every step of progress. Compliance and quality assurance are, of course, integral parts of this process.
What will you be doing?
- You will provide advice and share responsibility for developing strategic policies and ensuring their implementation across the various departments within the organization
- You are in charge of the financial planning and control cycle
- You are responsible for ensuring a high-quality and secure IT infrastructure
- You manage housing projects, including relocations, renovations, and new construction
- You will guide the desired change processes and drive progress within the organization.
- You will lead a team of approximately 5 employees
What do we expect from you?
- At least a college or university level of work and thinking
- Extensive management experience in business operations, with a specific focus on finance, HR, IT, facilities, compliance, and procurement
- A proven track record of successfully bringing structure to complex projects
- Experience with contract management and managing external parties
- Knowledge of AFAS is a plus
- Affinity with the Library
- You are organized, have strong planning and process management skills, and are able to build connections and create structure

- This is a one-year appointment, with the possibility of extension
- Salary based on Scale 11 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Public Libraries (minimum €4,803 and maximum €6,218 gross per month for a 36-hour workweek); placement on the scale depends on knowledge and experience
- A year-end bonus of 5.0%
