  • Willingness to occasionally work outside of regular office hours and internationally.

Advantage:

What we offer

  • A socially meaningful role at a passionate organization.
  • Dedicated colleagues, active members, and a dynamic community of volunteers.
  • Room for initiative and innovative ideas.
  • Flexible work arrangements (including working from home part-time).
  • A salary commensurate with your knowledge and experience, along with excellent benefits.

A salary of up to €6,573 gross per month (based on a 40-hour workweek), depending on your experience. A minimum of 32 hours of work per week. Excellent benefits, including 23 days of paid vacation (based on a 40-hour workweek), an 8% vacation bonus, a pension plan, public transportation reimbursement, and a laptop and phone (or reimbursement for these).

Wikimedia Netherlands

Wikimedia Netherlands (WMNL) is committed to a world where free knowledge is accessible to everyone. We support an active community of volunteers, knowledge institutions, heritage organizations, and libraries in making open and free knowledge accessible through various projects, the best known of which are Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikidata. Our projects range from thematic campaigns to collaborations with universities and museums. WMNL has ANBI status and is largely funded by the Wikimedia Foundation, supplemented by gifts, donations, bequests, and project grants. You can find more information about WMNL atwikimedia.nl

Procedure

Are you the passionate and collaborative leader we’re looking for? If so, please send your cover letter and resume tosollicitatie@wikimedia.nl by September 22. A few days later, the hiring committee will invite a number of applicants for an initial (online) interview. For some of them, this will be followed by a second interview with the committee and an opportunity to meet the staff at our office in Utrecht on Tuesday, October 14, or Thursday, October 16. If necessary, a final interview with the full board will follow. The process will conclude with a discussion of employment terms and conditions.

If you have any questions, please contact Jan-Bart de Vreede, chair of WMNL (648 93 80 14), or Bart Nieuwenhuis (652 45 53 27).

A certificate of good conduct is part of the selection process.
