Director of Education & Quality

What is the challenge?

In this new role, you will play a crucial part in the ongoing development of the Education & Quality department into a fully-fledged support service for the entire organization in the medium term. You will lead a team of 20 (educational) experts in areas such as strategy, policy, legislation, quality assurance, and Deltion-wide programs. You will build a dynamic department, organize it according to a new model, and ensure strong collaboration between the academic community and the Education & Quality department.

Together, you will develop a multi-year plan, a departmental plan, and a work agenda that truly make a difference. You will represent the O&K department in the Executive Board’s strategic meetings. There, you will use your knowledge and experience to help shape Deltion’s direction and work together to build an organization centered on connection, innovation, and inspiration. 

In addition to raising the profile of the Education and Quality Department, we are looking for someone who is motivated by developing and implementing a new structure for support services, where the scope of responsibilities will eventually extend beyond simply managing the Education and Quality Department. Experience with and knowledge of organizational change processes is therefore a plus. 

What will you be doing?

• Advising the Board of Governors and the executive team on strategic issues and collaborating with college directors to implement forward-looking education. 
• Shaping and fostering a learning organization focused on evidence-based practices and research capabilities.
• Leading the development of the Education & Quality Department and building a close-knit team of experts focused on knowledge sharing, innovation, and results. 
• Encouraging collaboration between educational and service departments and ensuring a comprehensive, Deltion-wide approach.
• Translating external developments and trends into concrete and innovative solutions and translating these into policies and plans on key educational themes.
• Implementing and ensuring the success of strategic change initiatives. 
• Leading program management for the implementation of strategic change initiatives.
• Focusing on quality assurance and the implementation of and compliance with laws and regulations. 
• You will work closely with department heads and service directors and be actively involved in regional and national networks. You will report directly to the board of Deltion College.

What are you bringing?

• University-level work and thinking skills. 
• At least 5 years of experience in a strategic leadership role. 
• Proven success in educational strategy—innovation and quality assurance. 
• Ability to lead teams through change processes. 
• Experience in vocational education is a plus.
