CKC & partners is the leading organization for amateur arts, cultural participation, and arts and technology education in Zoetermeer. We want every resident of Zoetermeer to experience art and culture and encourage them to develop their creativity and imagination—qualities that bring great joy and, at the same time, help anchor you more firmly in society. For young and old; at school, in the neighborhood, or in our vibrant cultural center. A challenging mission that our team works on every day.
We are seeking a Director (full-time position) to start on June 1, 2022.
As Director of CKC & partners, you will, together with the Artistic Director, provide leadership to our organization and strengthen our position as a leading cultural partner in the municipality of Zoetermeer. You have a clear vision, strengthen cohesion within the organization, and thus ensure the realization of the mission and strategy we have developed together. Guiding this process are the needs of our clients and partners, the mandates from the municipality of Zoetermeer, and developments in society and the market. You will also apply your knowledge and expertise as a (cultural) entrepreneur to coach managers and staff. In this way, you will help CKC & partners to sustainably anchor its roles both internally and externally.
You offer us:
- Entrepreneurship and knowledge of business administration and finance.
- An interest in amateur arts, cultural education, and cultural participation.
- Process-oriented thinking: you have a clear overview of supply chains; change management is right up your alley. You will apply that knowledge and expertise to the ongoing implementation of the recently finalized organizational development plan and the multi-year strategic plan.
- Strategic insight, which you know how to translate into decisive action thanks to your process-oriented skills
- Excellent communication skills: you are a good listener and a supportive mentor; a trusted advisor to the artistic director and the heads of front office, back office, and innovation.
- A connector with a well-developed sense of administrative sensitivity, which you apply in networking and collaborating with employees and partners, Zoetermeer’s cultural partners, educational institutions, local politicians, clients, and various sectors.
- An open and approachable figurehead for the organization.
- A visionary, passionate leader, and also a skilled lobbyist.
- HBO+ level of thinking and work.
- At least 5 years of experience as a strategic and operational manager or director, preferably in the cultural sector.
CKC and partners offer you:
- A challenging job in an inspiring, artistic environment—specifically at Zoetermeer’s premier cultural network: CKC & partners. We are dedicated to inspiring people through and for art and culture: 48 weeks a year, 7 days a week!
- A dynamic organization with 64 full-time employees, over 60 (freelance) partners and independent contractors in our network, and 25 volunteers. Each and every one of them is deeply passionate about their work.
- A workspace in a cultural center that’s brimming with creativity, well-equipped, and at the forefront of innovation.
- A network comprising numerous partners, such as cultural institutions, educational institutions, community and healthcare organizations, and resident initiatives.
- Join us in building a sustainable future for CKC & Partners
- Terms of employment are based on the KE Collective Bargaining Agreement; the position is classified in pay grade 14.
