What will you be doing?

As Director of Operations at Jellinek, you will have ultimate responsibility for the financial results and, together with the Director of Clinical Affairs, be responsible for the quality of care and the development of the Jellinek Treatment and Expertise Center.

In this dynamic role, you will be part of Arkin’s executive team and contribute to our social mission. You will report to the board of directors and directly lead Jellinek’s management team (29 FTEs), which oversees a total of approximately 700 employees.

Your responsibilities:

  • Has ultimate responsibility for operations and financial results.
  • Translating strategic objectives: Together with the Director of Clinical Affairs, you will translate our strategic objectives into concrete plans and achieve the results outlined in our annual plan and long-term strategy.
  • Analyzing market trends: You closely monitor the market and use these insights to strengthen Jellinek and build on our competitive position.
  • Initiating improvement projects: You will initiate projects focused on cost efficiency and process optimization.
  • Coaching-style leadership: You support and coach managers so they can act with full responsibility and have access to the right management information.
  • Creating a positive work environment: You foster a culture of transparent communication, collaboration, and a positive work atmosphere.
  • Employer branding: Working closely with HR, you will develop strategic policies to position Jellinek as an attractive employer and address current HR challenges.
  • Maintaining relationships: You will maintain and strengthen relationships with partners in the healthcare network, such as other mental health institutions, the Dutch Association for Addiction Studies (VKN), municipalities, health insurers, and other external organizations.

  • Salary is commensurate with the level of responsibility of the position;

What do you bring to the table?

You are an experienced leader with a background in operations and strategic management, preferably in the healthcare sector. You have a hands-on approach, are results-oriented, and know how to motivate and inspire a team.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A relevant master’s degree in business administration or management.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of business management and financial and economic tools.
  • Extensive experience in leading a large organization and managing change processes.
