At RadarVertige, you’ll find a meaningful social mission, a unique workplace in Amstelveen, and passionate professionals working in self-managing teams. This is a great next step for you as Deputy Director.

About RadarVertige

RadarVertige is committed to an inclusive, equitable, and safe world—one with a strong public sector staffed by resilient and adaptable professionals. We contribute to this goal through educational consulting, training programs, learning pathways, and innovative learning interventions.

RadarVertige has grown significantly over the past two years. To support current and future growth, the company has adopted a model based on self-organizing teams and the concept of continuous improvement.

The Position

In the role of Deputy Director, you will drive continuous improvement within the RadarVertige organization, thereby optimizing work processes and developing a structure that makes a sustainable contribution to the organization’s growth. You will facilitate and support the transition to self-managing teams that operate within the organization’s strategic goals.

In addition, you will foster a culture in which employees learn from one another and where improvements can be identified and implemented. Together with the Director, you will form the management team. You will maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, and other partners, and represent RadarVertige at external events and within professional networks.

Also on your agenda:

  • Help determine the strategic direction and formulate a long-term vision.
  • Improving operational processes through the teams.
  • Coaching teams while encouraging continuous professional development and learning.
  • The person with final responsibility for HR for all approximately 40 employees.
  • Ensure open and transparent communication within the organization and teams regarding key business developments, performance, and changes.
  • Empower the teams and encourage a sense of ownership.
  • Establishing a decision-making structure that is suitable for self-managing teams.
  • You foster innovation and continuous improvement, facilitate change processes, and ensure that teams remain agile in a dynamic market.
  • You will coordinate the internal organization in the areas of finance, IT, facilities, and HR.
  • You play a key role in the organization’s financial policy and the budget cycle.

The Department

RadarVertige consists of approximately 40 enthusiastic and dedicated colleagues and 180 experienced freelance trainers and actors. The company is divided into teams organized by client group or market, each comprising front-office and back-office staff. In addition to their regular duties, employees also take on responsibilities in finance, HR, or development. They are personally responsible for ensuring the team functions effectively and for achieving the goals outlined in their annual plan. In addition to the teams, there is a management team consisting of two people: the Deputy Director and the Director. The management team acts as a guardian of culture and structure and makes decisions when teams cannot reach an agreement and/or when an issue affects the entire organization.

Your Profile

You are an experienced Deputy Director who empowers people and provides them with the best possible support. You have an analytical mindset and a broad perspective. You excel at organizing and can inspire and motivate the team to work together to advance the organization. You have a university-level education and a background in business administration, and you have experience with:

  • A similar role in organizations of this size and at this stage (scale-up);
