The Trimbos Institute is the leading independent research institute on mental health, alcohol, tobacco, and drug use, as well as gaming, digital media, and gambling.
We are committed to a mentally healthy society in which everyone can participate to the best of their ability, people have as much control as possible over their own lives, and feel connected to one another. A society in which people are aware of the risks of substance use and harm from such use is prevented. A society where people care for themselves, for one another, and for their surroundings.
The Trimbos Institute employs more than 225 people. Most of them are researchers. They are supported by the Communications, HRM and Finance, IT, and Facilities departments.
